Why I Started Social Growth Systems

Hi, I’m Dana, founder of Social Growth Systems.

I started this business in May 2026, but the story behind it started long before that.

For the last four years, I worked for the asset sales arm of a large UK logistics company, where I looked after their social media platforms, managed Meta Ads, and created graphics for printable advertising in the Commercial Motor and CV Driver.

Alongside the marketing work, I was also involved in sales admin, which meant I often dealt directly with owners of small and medium-sized businesses. That experience gave me a real understanding of how busy business owners think, how much pressure they carry, and how important trust is before someone decides to buy, enquire, or work with you.

I did all of that while raising two daughters and studying in every bit of spare time I could find.

So when I say I understand busy business owners, I really mean it.

I know what it feels like to have too much on your plate. I know what it feels like to learn new skills in the evenings, to keep going when things are not perfect, and to build something while life is already full.

Hi, I’m Dana, founder of Social Growth Systems.

#My Background

I’m originally from Poland and I have lived in the UK since 2005. I spent my first ten years in London, then moved to Essex, which is now my home.

Many years ago, I studied IT, but like many people, life took me in different directions. When I decided to build my own website and start Social Growth Systems, I had to refresh a lot of that knowledge. It was not always easy, and the website is still something I will continue improving, but I am proud of it because I built it myself.

That experience reminded me how overwhelming it can feel when you are trying to do everything for your business at once. Your website. Your social media. Your adverts. Your content. Your customers. Your family. Your admin. Your next step. It is a lot.

And that is exactly why I wanted Social Growth Systems to exist.

##Why I Started This Business

I wanted more independence in how I work and who I work with. I wanted to build something of my own, with more flexibility, more creativity, and a more personal approach to clients. But more than that, I wanted to help business owners who know they need to show up online, but do not have the time, confidence, or headspace to keep doing it properly themselves.

Working with small and medium-sized business owners through the asset sales side of the logistics industry also showed me something important: many business owners are brilliant at what they do, but they do not always have the time, confidence, or support to present themselves properly online.

That is one of the reasons I wanted to start Social Growth Systems. I wanted to use my experience to help those kinds of businesses look more trusted, consistent, and professional online.

A lot of small business owners are not ignoring social media because they are lazy. They are busy serving customers, managing enquiries, quoting jobs, dealing with suppliers, solving problems, and keeping everything moving.

The problem is that when your online presence goes quiet, unclear, or inconsistent, people make assumptions.

They may wonder if you are still active.
They may choose a competitor who looks more professional.
They may not understand what you offer.
They may not trust you enough to get in touch.

That is where good social media and practical advertising can make a real difference.

#What Social Growth Systems Is About

Social Growth Systems is built to help UK trades, local service businesses, and SMEs build more trust online through consistent social media management, practical content, and Meta Ads support.

This is not about posting for the sake of posting.

It is about helping your business look active, trustworthy, clear, and professional so potential customers feel more confident choosing you.

For some businesses, that starts with better content. For others, it starts with a stronger profile, clearer messaging, or a practical Meta Ads campaign.
And for many business owners, it starts with simply having someone reliable to take the pressure off.

My aim is to make social media feel less stressful and more useful.

#What I Believe In

I believe in honesty.

If something is not working, I will not pretend it is. If an idea needs improving, I will say so. Business owners need practical advice, not empty promises.

I believe in reliability.

If someone trusts me with their business presence, I take that seriously. Social media may look simple from the outside, but consistency, timing, wording, design, and trust all matter.

I believe in creativity with purpose.

Pretty posts are not enough. Content needs to make sense for the business, the audience, and the goal behind it.

I believe in resilience.

Starting again, learning again, building again, and improving as you go is part of business. I understand that personally.

And I believe in family, independence, and doing work that has meaning.

Being a single mum of two daughters has shaped the way I work. It has taught me to be organised, practical, patient, and strong. It has also made me even more determined to build a business that supports real people, not just brands on paper.

#Who I Want To Help

I especially want to help trades, local service businesses, and SMEs across the UK .These are the businesses that often do brilliant work but do not always show it well online.

You may already have happy customers.
You may already be good at what you do.
You may already get referrals.

But if your social media does not reflect the quality of your work, you are leaving trust on the table.

That does not mean you need to dance on Reels or post every day. It means your online presence should clearly show who you are, what you do, why people trust you, and how someone can take the next step.

#A Practical Approach To Social Media

My approach is simple: social media should support the business, not become another source of stress.

That means creating content that helps people understand your services.
It means showing proof, reviews, work examples, and behind-the-scenes moments.
It means making your business look active and credible.
It means using Meta Ads properly when they make sense, instead of boosting random posts and hoping for the best.

Most business owners do not need more noise. They need a clearer system.

That is what I am building with Social Growth Systems.
